U Mobile Sdn. Bhd. (“U Mobile”) has entered into an agreement to novate its merchant acquiring business, currently branded as “GoBiz”, to NTT DATA Payment Services. This means that the rights, liabilities and obligations related to your existing agreement with U Mobile and payment transactions will be transferred from U Mobile to NTT DATA Payment Services.
Effective 16 April 2025, NTT DATA Payment Services Sdn. Bhd. will assume the role of your merchant acquirer and service provider for your current payment processing services. Your existing contract and subscription to the GoBiz merchant payment processing services will remain in effect, with the only change being that NTT DATA Payment Services will replace U Mobile as the contracting party. All other terms in your current agreement will remain unchanged unless otherwise notified by NTT DATA Payment Services after the effective date.
The novation will take effect on 16 April 2025 (“Effective Date”), from which point NTT DATA Payment Services Sdn. Bhd. will officially become your merchant acquiring service provider.
There will be no disruption to your business operations. You shall continue using the payment processing services as usual and there will be no change to your business operations. Any planned disruptions shall be communicated ahead of time as per the current GoBiz communication channels to you. In the event that you need assistance or support, you may contact the current support channels or contacts which continue to be available without any changes.
After the novation, U Mobile and GoBiz logo will be visible for a short period of time after the Effective Date. You might still see GoBiz logo in some of the payment processing channels including but not limited to the website, printed sales receipt and online payment processing page, as it will take some time to be replaced with NTT DATA Payment Services’s branding. For clarity purpose, from the Effective Date onwards, despite seeing the GoBiz logo in some of the channels, it does not represent U Mobile at all as NTT DATA Payment Services shall be the official merchant acquirer.
Starting 16 April 2025, your merchant agreement will be novated from U Mobile to NTT DATA Payment Services. This means NTT DATA Payment Services will be your new acquirer or payment processing provider. There is no action required from your end for this novation as we make it seamless and transparent to you. Rest assured nothing shall change in the agreement except that the contracting party is NTT DATA Payment Services instead of U Mobile.
No, you are not required to sign a new contract. Your existing contract terms remain unchanged.
No, there will be no changes to your current transaction fees. They shall remain the same as per your current contract. In the event of any change to the transaction fees in the future, NTT DATA Payment Services shall inform you accordingly prior to its effective date.
The settlement process will remain Unchanged as per current process. Should there be any changes in the future, NTT DATA Payment Services will provide you with the necessary information and details in advance.
Yes. There shall be no change to your payment terminal despite the novation to NTT DATA Payment Services and they shall function as per current to ensure no disruption to your business operations.
Your past transaction records and reports will remain accessible on the GoBiz portal. You may continue using the same login access to the portal to access your reports and transaction details.
