No penalty will be imposed. However the subscriber’s rebate of RM20 per month for the device will also be terminated.
No extra charges for the disconnection will be imposed. However, the merchant will have to pay for the access fee and service fee (pro-rated based on their active days of the month before the service was disconnected).
A merchant is not allowed to voluntarily disconnect the account for a temporary period. If the merchant’s account is being suspended due to credit action, the merchant will not be able to use their postpaid line.
The merchant can still use the merchant ID to perform business transactions, but the Merchant Account will be put on hold, and the money will only be released after the merchant pays up their postpaid bill.
Reconnection / Reactivation will based on the following scenarios:
- Reconnecting a suspended postpaid line – a reactivation charge of RM10 will be imposed
- Reactivating a terminated postpaid line – not allowed
Call barring / unbarring will not affect the merchant service. If the telco service is suspended, all merchant payments will be put on hold until the telco service resumes.
The Merchant ID account will be put on hold, until payment is made. The monthly charge for telco-services will be, charged on a pro-rated basis, based on the number of active days. Merchant Service charges will also be charged on a pro-rated basis, based on the number of active days.
During the suspension period, a merchant will not be able to use their mobile line. However, they will still be able to use their Merchant ID to carry out their business, while the Merchant Account will be put on hold until the merchant pays their postpaid bill.

If a merchant permanently terminates their postpaid subscription, their GoBiz services (including Merchant ID) will also automatically be terminated.
